Regular Season Round 6: Challans - La Charite 121-99

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Vendee Challans (5-1) outplayed at home 11th ranked La Charite (2-4) 121-99 on Saturday. Vendee Challans dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to La Charite's 40. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. Vendee Challans looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vendee Challans made 7 blocks. It was a good game for point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Jeremie Douillet (205-91) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and Moussa Camara (196-87, college: Binghamton, agency: HMS) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for La Charite. Five Vendee Challans and four La Charite players scored in double figures. La Charite's coach Fabien Anthonioz gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vendee Challans have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group B leader. La Charite lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. Vendee Challans will face league's second-placed Vitre at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. La Charite will play against Brissac Anjou (#13) in Brissac-Quince and hope to win that game.
