There was an upset when higher ranked Herzogenaurach (3-3) was edged on the road by fourteenth ranked Jena II (2-4) 78-77 on Saturday. Jena II made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Serbian point guard Vuk Radojicic (185-1) who scored 16 points and 6 assists. Russian Dominik Shusel (200-99) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. Four Jena II players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Patrick Horstmann (201-87, college: Keiser) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and Nils Hafurther added 16 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Jena II moved-up to eleventh place in South-East. Herzogenaurach at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Jena II will face higher ranked Bamberg (#5) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Herzogenaurach will play against Treuchtlingen and hope to win that game.
