First defeat of league's leader Bayi Rockets (0-1) against Sharks (1-0) 87-83 was the most important game of the last round. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sharks made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who helped to win the game recording 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. The former international power forward Dong Hanlin (208-91) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) answered with 9 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and international guard Lei Meng (193-95) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bayi Rockets. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bayi Rockets will play next round against Sturgeons trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sharks will try to continue on its current victory against Golden Bulls in Hangzhou.
