Regular Season Round 3: Battipaglia - Viola RC 61-81

Very expected game when Battipaglia (0-3) was smashed at home by Viola RC (2-1) 81-61 on Sunday. Battipaglia was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Tommaso Carnovali (197-93) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Yande Fall (203-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center Andrea Locci (203-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and guard Alessio Ronconi (192-95) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Battipaglia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Viola RC will face Pozzuoli (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Battipaglia will play against Cuore Napoli and hopes to get finally their first victory.
