Regular Season Round 7: Zabiny Brno - Loko Trutnov 99-83

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Zabiny Brno (5-1) beat at home 7th ranked LOKO Trutnov (3-3) 99-83 on Wednesday. Zabiny Brno made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. LOKO Trutnov was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for forward Michaela Vackova (179-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. The former international swingman Petra Zaplatova (175-91) contributed with 29 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jordan Adams (185-94, college: USC) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Brittany Carter (183-93, college: Illinois) added 23 points in the effort for LOKO Trutnov. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Zabiny Brno. They moved-up to second place, which they share with KP Brno. Loser LOKO Trutnov dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Zabiny Brno will face Basketball Nymburk (#4) on the road in the next round. LOKO Trutnov will play against MK Technic in Brno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
