We should mention about the upset which took place in Istanbul, where Bandirma Kir. (0-3) lost to Sigortam.net ITU (1-2) in a road game 92-102. Sigortam.net ITU made 42-of-53 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game, while Bandirma Kir. only scored twenty one points from the stripe. Sigortam.net ITU players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. 36 personal fouls committed by Bandirma Kir. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Cenk Akyol (198-87, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 8 assists. Berkay Sinirlioglu (192-94) accounted for 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Point guard Harun Dogan (193-96) came up with 21 points and 9 rebounds and guard Eray Akyuz (187-0) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Bandirma Kir. in the defeat.
