Regular Season Round 6: Pardubice - Zlin 90-73

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Pardubice (3-2) defeated at home one of their biggest challengers SKB Zlin (3-3) 90-73 on Friday. Pardubice made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 SKB Zlin turnovers. Strangely SKB Zlin outrebounded Pardubice 44-29 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Michal Svoboda (190-99) who scored 20 points and 4 steals. Ondrej Vycha (196-99) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jan Krutilek (189-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and center Tomas Voslajer (211-90) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Pardubice moved-up to fourth place in East. Loser SKB Zlin dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Pardubice will face league's leader BK Prostejov B on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. SKB Zlin will play against Sokol Slapanice (#9) and hope to win that game.
