Regular Season Round 7: CFBB - Bordeaux 50-65

No shocking result in a game in Paris where fourth ranked JSA Bordeaux (5-2) won against bottom-ranked CFBB (0-7) 65-50 on Friday. They outrebounded CFBB 39-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. CFBB was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for center Mathieu Boyer (208-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Point guard Sebastien Cape (184-93) helped adding 12 points and 4 assists. At the losing side guard Lorenzo Thirouard-Samson (197-1) responded with 15 points and guard Timothe Crusol (185-1) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. JSA Bordeaux moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Toulouse and Lorient. CFBB lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. JSA Bordeaux will face Lourdes-Tarbes (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play against STB Le Havre and hopes to get finally their first victory.
