There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Jonava (3-5) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Taurages (3-4) 74-67. The winners were led by point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists and forward Paulius Morkeliunas (201-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Taurages players scored in double figures. Even 9 points and 14 rebounds by international forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Jonava. Forward Augustinas Jankaitis (205-94) added 15 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Taurages moved-up to tenth place. Jonava at the other side keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. Taurages' next round opponent will be higher ranked Neptunas-Akv. (#5) in Klaipeda and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Jonava will play on the road against Ezerunas (#15) in Moletai and hope to win that game.
