Regular Season Round 5: Geneve Lions - Pully 98-78

SBL top team - Geneve Lions (4-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Pully (1-3) 98-78. Geneve Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Pully's 40. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. American point guard Derrick Colter (180-94, college: Duquesne, agency: Inception Sports) nailed 23 points and 9 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American-Armenian guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists. Nigerian power forward Avery Ugba (204-94, college: Austin Peay St.) came up with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Anton Wilson (196-94, college: Detroit Mercy) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Pully in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Geneve Lions have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-1 record, which they share with Neuchatel. Pully lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Boncourt. Geneve Lions will play against Massagno (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Pully will play against Fribourg to get more than just one victory in their record.
