Regular Season Round 7: Ansbach - Muenchen OSB 70-84

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Muenchen OSB (3-3) beat on the road 3rd placed Ansbach (4-3) 84-70 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Swingman Giacomo May (195-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Muenchen OSB players scored in double figures. Forward David Kurpiela (195-92) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Paul Nzeocha (192-91) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Ansbach. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Muenchen OSB. They moved-up to seventh place in South-East, which they share with Schwabing. Loser Ansbach keeps the third position with three games lost. Muenchen OSB will face Treuchtlingen (#11) in Treutchlingen in the next round.
