Regular Season Round 6: Esparreguera - Martorell 64-84

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Martorell (1-5) outplayed on the road higher ranked Esparreguera (2-4) 84-64 on Saturday. Martorell looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for point guard Albert Valle (181-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. Power forward Jordi Pujolreu (-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Ruben Morales (193-85) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Dani Fontanals (197-93) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Esparreguera. Four Esparreguera players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Martorell left bottom position moving up to twelfth place in Group C-A, which they share with Salt. Newly promoted Esparreguera dropped to the ninth position with four games lost.
