Regular Season Round 7: Baerum Basket - Tromso 107-92

The game between third ranked Baerum Basket (6-3) and 6th ranked Tromso (3-5) in Bekkestua on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Baerum Basket beat guests from Tromso 107-92. The game was mostly controlled by Baerum Basket. Tromso was better in second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Baerum Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Tromso's players. It was a very good performance for American guard Joshua Hart (194-90, college: Va Intermont) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. International guard Alex Dakin (197-93) contributed with 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Baerum Basket's coach Matthias Eckhoff used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Johannes Lange (179-98) added 21 points in the effort for Tromso. Five Baerum Basket and four Tromso players scored in double figures. Baerum Basket maintains third place with 6-3 record having just one point less than leader Gimle BBK. Loser Tromso keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Baerum Basket will have a break next round. Tromso will play at home against Centrum (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
