An interesting game for Dragonflies (10-1) which played road game in Shimane against 3rd placed Shimane Magic (6-5). First ranked Dragonflies managed to get a 8-point victory 83-75. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dragonflies made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American center Eric Thompson (204-93, college: Pacific) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Hiryu Okamoto (170-93) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Hungarian Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks respectively for Shimane Magic in the defeat. Five Dragonflies and four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Dragonflies maintains first place with 10-1 record. Loser Shimane Magic keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Gunma. Dragonflies will meet Gunma (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Shimane Magic will play against Fukushima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
