Regular Season Round 4: Alkar - Skrljevo 73-79

KK Skrljevo's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Alkar (2-2) on the road game in Sinj 79-73. Alkar was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 41-32 second half run of KK Skrljevo. They outrebounded Alkar 37-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Corey Spence (175-92, college: N.Colorado) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and forward David Usic (205-93, college: Florida Tech) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Josh Brown (190-94, college: Temple) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and center Hrvoje Vucic (210-91, college: Walsh) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Alkar players scored in double figures. KK Skrljevo (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Alkar at the other side keeps the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Zadar and Zabok. KK Skrljevo will play against H.Analitica (#9) in Zagreb in the next round. Alkar will play on the road against Sibenik (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
