There was no surprise in Nizhny Novgorod where 9th ranked N.Novgorod-2 (1-5) was edged by fourth ranked Unics-2 (4-2) 88-85 on Sunday. N.Novgorod-2 trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 31-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 85-88 at the end of the game. Unics-2 forced 32 N.Novgorod-2 turnovers. N.Novgorod-2 was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Vadim Kudinov (194-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Georgiy Korotayev (196-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Four Unics-2 players scored in double figures.
