Regular Season Round 11: Fukushima - Nishinomiya S. 78-89

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Nishinomiya S. (2-9) won against on the road 5th ranked Fukushima (4-7) 89-78 on Sunday. Nishinomiya S. shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Randy White (203-67, college: Louisiana Tech) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Fukushima. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nishinomiya S. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kanazawa Sam. Loser Fukushima dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Nishinomiya S. will face league's leader Shinshu BW in Nagano in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fukushima will play at home against Shimane Magic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
