Regular Season Round 6: Sokol Lancut - Biofarm PZN 89-88

Tenth-ranked Biofarm PZN (2-4) made lots of trouble for top-ranked Sokol Lancut (6-0) on Sunday. Sokol Lancut managed to secure only one-point victory 89-88. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (199-92) who scored 26 points and 4 steals. Point guard Kamil Zywert (185-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Mikolaj Kurpisz (202-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Tomasz Smorawinski (196-87) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively. Five Sokol Lancut and four Biofarm PZN players scored in double figures. Sokol Lancut have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Slask Wroclaw. Biofarm PZN lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Sokol Lancut is looking forward to face Kotwica (#14) in Kolobrzeg in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Biofarm PZN will play at home against Polfarmex (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
