The most surprising game was the first loss of Aaguacateros (3-1) in Michoacan on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Angeles (1-5) 79-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aaguacateros. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Angeles made 9 blocks. The former international forward Jesus Gonzalez (195-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Puerto Rican forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV) contributed with 18 points and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Angeles players scored in double figures. American point guard Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSU Bakersfield) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Colombian guard Michaell Jackson (190-87) added 14 points in the effort for Aaguacateros. Newly promoted Angeles maintains seventh place with 1-5 record. Aaguacateros at the other side keep the second position with one game lost. Angeles will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aaguacateros will play on the road against Panteras in Aguascalientes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
