Regular Season Round 5: Iwate Big Bulls - Gifu Swoops 50-61

Another exciting game was between fourth ranked Gifu Swoops and 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls where Gifu Swoops (4-6) beat Iwate Big Bulls (3-7) on the road 61-50. Canadian center Michael Allison (206-90, college: Maine) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 7 rebounds. American Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) contributed with 4 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Ban Kosei (168-93) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. Iwate Big Bulls' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Gifu Swoops went down to fifth position due to points difference. Iwate Big Bulls lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Gifu Swoops will play against league's leader Koshigaya A. in Tokyo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Iwate Big Bulls will have a break next round.
