Regular Season Round 5: Sokol Pisek - Snakes Ostrava 75-92

U19 League top team - Snakes (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Sokol Pisek (4-3) 92-75. Snakes forced 22 Sokol Pisek turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Matej Snopek (195-0) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jaroslav Bednar (186-0) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Martin Svoboda (196-1) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Miroslav Prochazka (184-0) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sokol Pisek. Five Snakes and four Sokol Pisek players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Snakes have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Despite that victory Snakes went down to second position due to points difference. Sokol Pisek at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Orli Prostejov. Snakes are looking forward to face Nymburk (#4) at home in the next round. Sokol Pisek will play against the league's leader USK and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
