Regular Season Round 4: Djakovo - Zaprude 64-67

A very close game took place in Djakovo between Zaprude and Djakovo. Ninth ranked Zaprude (2-2) got a very close victory on the road over one of their biggest challengers Djakovo (2-2). Zaprude managed to escape with a 3-point win 67-64 in the fight for the fifth place. Djakovo was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 20-14 charge of Zaprude, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Ivan Penic (202-89) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marko Raic (190-87, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Matej Karlovic (200-89) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kristijan Vladovic (185-99) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Zaprude moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Djakovo and Pula 1981. Zaprude will meet at home higher ranked Jazine (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Djakovo will play against KK Dubrovnik and hope to secure a win.
