Regular Season Round 5: Ratiopharm - Germani BR 83-82

A very interesting game took place in Ulm. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Italian Germani BR (1-4) to fifth ranked German ratiopharm Ulm (2-3) 83-82 on Tuesday evening. Germani BR was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 27-18 third quarter run of ratiopharm Ulm. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Germani BR turnovers. The best player for the winners was American-Montenegrin forward Javonte Green (196-93, college: Radford) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Patrick Miller (184-92, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in 18 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Awudu Abass (199-93, agency: Players Group) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) added 23 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. ratiopharm Ulm moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Andorra and Galatasaray. Germani BR at the other side stay at the bottom position with four games lost. ratiopharm Ulm's next round opponent will be league's leader Crvena Zvezda in Beograd and it will be for sure the game of the week. Germani BR will play on the road against the league's second-placed Monaco (#2) and hope to win that game.
