Regular Season Round 8: Bordeaux - Lourdes 91-90

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked JSA Bordeaux (6-2) edged at home 12th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (2-6) 91-90 on Tuesday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. JSA Bordeaux forced 21 Lourdes-Tarbes turnovers. It was a great shooting night for JSA Bordeaux especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Sebastien Cape (184-93) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Center Mathieu Boyer (208-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. JSA Bordeaux's coach Joachim Duthe used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American center Justin Moss (201-93, college: Buffalo) produced 24 points and 5 rebounds and center Alexis Thomas (196-95) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five JSA Bordeaux and four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. JSA Bordeaux moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Lorient. Loser Lourdes-Tarbes keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. JSA Bordeaux will face La Charite (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against the league's leader Vendee Challans and hope to win that game.
