Regular Season Round 8: DYUSH-DOR - Kyiv Basket 2 42-84

Kyiv Basket 2 has finally registered their first victory this season after seven consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Dnipro, where they outplayed DYUSH-DOR (2-4) 84-42 on Thursday. The game without a history. Kyiv Basket 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to DYUSH-DOR's 22. Kyiv Basket 2 forced 24 DYUSH-DOR turnovers. The best player for the winners was Illia Zaets who scored 25 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Oleh Bondarenko (187-99) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Stanislav Shesterikov (190-85) produced 9 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Oleksandr Fomenko (180-86) added 5 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kyiv Basket 2 (1-7) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. Loser DYUSH-DOR dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Dnipro-2. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
