Regular Season Round 7: Basket Kosire - J.Hradec 64-95

1Liga top team - BK Lions Hradec (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Basket Kosire (2-5) in Kosice 95-64. BK Lions Hradec dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Basket Kosire's 32. BK Lions Hradec forced 22 Basket Kosire turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for center Jan Tomanec (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Jakub Jokl (206-96, college: Utah) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five BK Lions Hradec players scored in double figures. BK Lions Hradec's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovakian forward Miroslav Vansa (197-87) answered with 21 points and forward Jan Kratochvil (200-82) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Basket Kosire. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for BK Lions Hradec. They maintain first place in West with 7-0 record. Basket Kosire lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. BK Lions Hradec will face Sokol Prazky (#8) in Praha in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Kosire will play on the road against Sokol Pisek and hope to win that game.
