Regular Season Round 9: La Charite - Bordeaux 90-85

Very important is a road loss of third ranked JSA Bordeaux (6-3) against eighth ranked La Charite (5-4) on Friday night. Visiting JSA Bordeaux was defeated by La Charite in a tough game in La Charite 85-90. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JSA Bordeaux. La Charite players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Moussa Camara (196-87, college: Binghamton, agency: HMS) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Ludovic Vaty (205-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) who recorded 22 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Richie Gordon (203-89, college: W.Carolina) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for La Charite. They moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted JSA Bordeaux keeps the third position with three games lost. La Charite's next round opponent will be higher ranked STB Le Havre (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. JSA Bordeaux will play against Etoile Angers and hope to win that game.
