Regular Season Round 6: Menorca - Moron 72-82

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Moron (3-3) beat 11th ranked Menorca (1-5) in Mahon 82-72 on Saturday. Menorca was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Jon Aramburu (204-92, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Tanner Omlid (196-93, college: W.Oregon) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Aramburu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Power forward Andreu Matali (204-81) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Carlos Poyatos (207-94) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Menorca. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Moron moved-up to eighth place in Silver. Newly promoted Menorca keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. Moron will face Albacete (#9) at home in the next round. Menorca will play against Almansa and hope to win that game.
