Regular Season Round 8: Langenhagen - Vechta II 73-69

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Vechta-2 (2-5) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Langenhagen (6-3) 73-69 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of center Marcel Schwarz (203-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and forward Bart Zents (198-92) who added 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Langenhagen's coach Benjamin Travnizek used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Luc Van-Slooten (203-2) responded with 21 points and center Malte Giljan (205-95) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Newly promoted Langenhagen maintains fourth position in North with 6-3 record. Loser Vechta-2 dropped to the fourteenth place with five games lost. Langenhagen will have a break next round. Vechta-2 will play at home against ALBA-2 (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
