There was a surprise result in Treutchlingen where eleventh ranked Treuchtlingen (3-3) beat higher ranked Muenchen OSB (3-4) 92-86 on Saturday. Treuchtlingen made 34-of-43 free shots (79.1 percent) during the game. Muenchen OSB was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Simon Geiselsoeder (189-91) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Stefan Schmoll (196-89) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Treuchtlingen players scored in double figures. American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) responded with 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists and William Bessoir (203-99) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Treuchtlingen moved-up to seventh place in South-East, which they share with Schwabing. Loser Muenchen OSB dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Treuchtlingen will face higher ranked Vilsbiburg (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Muenchen OSB will play against Rosenheim (#13) and hope to win that game.
