Very predictable result in Reggio Calabria where fourth ranked Viola RC (5-1) smashed 12th ranked Catania Alfa (1-5) 77-38 on Sunday. Viola RC held Catania Alfa to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Tommaso Carnovali (197-93) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Vittorio Nobile (192-95) chipped in 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Marco Consoli (194-84) with 10 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Matteo Gottini (192-79) scored 5 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
