Regular Season Round 5: LoKoKo Bisons - FoKoPo 104-78

The game with biggest result difference took place in Loimaa. Local LoKoKo Bisons (5-0) outscored 10th ranked Forssan Koripojat (1-4) 104-78. The game was mostly controlled by LoKoKo Bisons. Forssan Koripojat was better in fourth quarter 32-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LoKoKo Bisons players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Forward Ville Karvonen (198-96) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and American swingman Marcus White (198-95, college: Dickinson St.) accounted for 27 points and 6 rebounds. Five LoKoKo Bisons players scored in double figures. LoKoKo Bisons' coach Arttu Mannelin felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American center Gilbert Talbot (208-94, college: LSU-Alexandria) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 21 rebounds and guard Johan Kotavuo (187-96) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Forssan Koripojat in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for LoKoKo Bisons. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Lahti. Forssan Koripojat at the other side keeps the tenth place with four games lost. LoKoKo Bisons' next round opponent will be league's leader Lahti on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Forssan Koripojat will play against Pyrinto Akatemia (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
