Regular Season Round 4: Dnipro - Levski Lukoil 72-88

Rather predictable result when top-ranked Bulgarian Levski Lukoil (4-0) won against on the road 4th ranked Ukrainian Dnipro (0-4) 88-72 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Levski Lukoil. Dnipro was better in third quarter 17-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Dnipro was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-90, college: Cal-Irvine) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Dejan Ivanov (205-86, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Olexandr Mishula (192-92) replied with 21 points and forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (204-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Dnipro. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dnipro's coach let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Levski Lukoil have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending Bulgarian champion maintains first position in Group G with 4-0 record. Loser Dnipro still closes the standings with four games lost. Levski Lukoil will face league's second-placed Joensuun Kataja on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dnipro will play against Aris in Thessaloniki and hopes to get finally their first victory.
