We should not miss a road victory of third ranked Toshiba Thunders (8-5) over 4th placed Toyama Grouses (7-6) 87-78. Toshiba Thunders players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. International power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) fired 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) chipped in 20 points and 8 assists. Four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Joshua Smith (208-92, college: Georgetown) added 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Toshiba Thunders. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. Toyama Grouses lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the third position with six games lost. Toshiba Thunders will have a break next round. Toyama Grouses will play on the road against Shiga L-Stars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
