Regular Season Round 8: Sokol Vyseh. - Loko Plzen 60-86

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Sokol Vysehrad (1-7) was outplayed at home by sixth ranked BK Loko Plzen (4-4) 86-60 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for BK Loko Plzen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ondrej Marz (194) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Vaclav Honomichl (186-92) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four BK Loko Plzen players scored in double figures. The former international center Ales Chan (215-80, college: Seton Hill) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and guard Jan Kadlcik (196-97) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BK Loko Plzen moved-up to fifth place in West, which they share with Nymburk B. Sokol Vysehrad lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. BK Loko Plzen will face higher ranked Slavoj BK Litomerice (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sokol Vysehrad will play against the league's second-placed USK Praha B (#2) and hope to win that game.
