Regular Season Round 7: Svendborg - Bakken 70-100
Date: November 9, 2018
Very significant was Bakken's (#1) 30-point road victory against their biggest opponent Svendborg 100-70. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Svendborg. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Svendborg was better in fourth quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Svendborg 47-25 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Ryan Evans (202-90, college: Wisconsin) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Jamaican-British forward Ryan Martin (206-91, college: Tenn Tech) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. American Jeremiah Ingram (201-93, college: N.C.Central) came up with 26 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Zach Charles (201-95, college: E.Kentucky) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Svendborg in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Svendborg at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Bakken will play against Stevnsgade (#4) on the road in the next round. Svendborg will play against Randers and hopes to get back on the winning track.
