Regular Season Round 10: Bordeaux - Angers 78-80

The most exciting game of round 10 in the NM1 took place in Bordeaux. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked JSA Bordeaux (6-4) to seventh ranked Etoile Angers (6-4) 80-78 on Friday evening. Etoile Angers looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American center Kyle Tresnak (209-92, college: Weber St.) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and Antoine Wallez (204-96) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Richie Gordon (203-89, college: W.Carolina) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and center Mathieu Boyer (208-95) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four JSA Bordeaux players scored in double figures. JSA Bordeaux's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Etoile Angers have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated JSA Bordeaux. Etoile Angers is looking forward to face Vitre (#4) on the road in the next round. JSA Bordeaux will play against La Rochelle and is hoping to win this game.
