The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Moron's (4-3) home victory over 9th ranked Albacete (2-5) 78-56 on Saturday. Moron made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Albacete was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Jose-Antonio Marco (179-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian-Jamaican guard Kedar Wright (191-94, college: Simon Fraser, agency: Two Points) helped adding 17 points. Moron's coach Pepe Carrion felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Tyler Rudolph (198-96, college: Minot St., agency: Duran International) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Albacete players scored in double figures. Moron moved-up to seventh place in Silver. Loser Albacete keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Moron will face L'Hospitalet (#8) on the road in the next round. Albacete will play against Almansa and hope to win that game.
