Regular Season Round 6: Shkupi - Vardar 67-77

Vardar can celebrate finally their first win this season after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Skopje, where they defeated Shkupi (0-4) 77-67 on Saturday. Vardar forced 23 Shkupi turnovers. American guard Junious Prowell (188, college: S.Crescent Tech) scored 20 points and 7 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian power forward Dino Rados (203-91) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Vardar's coach Darko Radulovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Alek Rangelov (-94) with 17 points and Oliver Taskov (-97) scored 13 points. Vardar (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. It was Shkupi's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Vardar will meet at home bottom-ranked Pelister Bitola (#11) in the next round. Shkupi will play against Gostivar and hopes to get finally their first victory.
