Regular Season Round 7: Geneve Lions - Neuchatel 77-61

Date: November 10, 2018
An interesting game for Geneve Lions (6-1) which hosted in Geneve their biggest opponent Neuchatel (5-2). First ranked Geneve Lions had an easy win 77-61. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Neuchatel. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Geneve Lions players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Derrick Colter (180-94, college: Duquesne, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 6 assists. The former international Roberto Kovac (190-90) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists. Four Geneve Lions players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import swingman Isaiah Williams (201-92, college: Iona) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Geneve Lions have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Neuchatel at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Geneve Lions will play against Boncourt (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Neuchatel will play against Pully (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
