Regular Season Round 9: BK Kolin - BK Decin 101-105

The game in Kolin was also quite interesting. Second ranked BK Decin (7-2) played at the court of 8th ranked BK Kolin (3-6). BK Decin managed to secure a 4-point victory 105-101 on Saturday. BK Decin dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to BK Kolin's 36. American forward Klint Carlson (201-94, college: N.Iowa) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Lamb Autrey (193-89, college: St.Mary's, TX, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. BK Decin's coach Pavel Budinsky used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was international swingman Petr Safarcik (193-94) with 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and American point guard AJ Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four BK Decin and five BK Kolin players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for BK Decin. They maintain second place with 7-2 record behind leader CEZ Nymburk. BK Kolin at the other side dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Brno. BK Decin will meet at home league's leader CEZ Nymburk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BK Kolin will play against USK Praha (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
