Regular Season Round 8: Ardoi - La Fecha 87-63

No shocking result in a game in Zizur Mayor where fourth ranked Ardoi (4-1) smashed 9th ranked La Fecha (1-4) 87-63 on Sunday. They outrebounded La Fecha 45-28 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ardoi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was center Andres Zabaleta (200-94) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Pablo Lopez (195-97) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Five Ardoi players scored in double figures. David Paniagua (193-0) produced 11 points and 9 rebounds and guard Alejandro Fisac (183-96) added 13 points respectively for the guests. La Fecha's coach Roberto Gonzalez gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ardoi moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Miraflores and Mondragon. Loser La Fecha keeps the ninth position with four games lost. Ardoi will face Goierri (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. La Fecha will play against Easo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
