Regular Season Round 6: Blokotehna - Gostivar 68-84

Undefeated Blokotehna (5-1) recorded its first loss in Gevgelija on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Gostivar (3-2) 84-68. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Blokotehna. Gostivar made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Joe Furstinger (206, college: N.Mexico, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international point guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian center Povilas Gaidys (208-91, college: Southeastern) who recorded 23 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Danilo Mijatovic (206-83) added 15 points respectively. Gostivar moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Kozuv. Blokotehna at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. Gostivar is looking forward to face Shkupi (#9) in Skopje in the next round. Blokotehna will play on the road against Ohrid AV (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
