Very important is a home loss of third ranked Gladiators (6-3) against thirteenth ranked Walter Tigers (4-5) on Sunday night. Host Gladiators were defeated by Walter Tigers in a tough game in Trier 77-86. American point guard Reed Timmer (185-95, college: Drake) nailed 18 points for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Tyler Laser (185-88, college: E.Illinois) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists. Four Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. Jamaican-Canadian forward Jermaine Bucknor (201-83, college: Richmond) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston) added 16 points respectively for Gladiators in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Walter Tigers moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Gladiators at the other side keep the third position with three games lost. Walter Tigers will play against higher ranked Kirchheim Knights (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
