There was a minor upset in Dresden where higher ranked Itzehoe (3-5) was edged by eleventh ranked Titans (3-5) 85-83 on Sunday. Titans looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Brandon Watkins (207-95, college: W.Virginia) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and naturalized Croatian forward Luka Kamber (203-94, college: Nicholls St.) who added 17 points during the contest. Watkins is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Johannes Konradt (199-95) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Flavio Stueckemann (188-85) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Itzehoe's coach Patrick Elzie tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Titans moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Itzehoe. Titans will face higher ranked SSV Lok Bernau (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
