WCBA round 10 most important game was a victory of Magic Deer over 7th ranked Blue Whales 101-82 on Tuesday night. Magic Deer dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Blue Whales' 50. They outrebounded Blue Whales 43-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Natasha Howard (190-91, college: Florida St., agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists. International Lili Wang (170-92) contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and forward Xuetong Zhao (185-94) added 25 points in the effort for Blue Whales. Magic Deer (6-4) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Henan. Blue Whales at the other side dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Shandong. Magic Deer is looking forward to face higher ranked Flame (#4) in Taiyuan in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Blue Whales will play on the road against the league's leader Vermilion Birds (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
