The game without a history. Njardvik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Croatian forward Mario Matasovic (203-93, college: Sacred Heart) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. American point guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Njardvik's coach Einar Johannsson used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Dutch forward Jordy Kuiper (206-95, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and American-Dominican guard Lewis Clinch (191-87, college: Georgia Tech) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Njardvik and four Grindavik players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Njardvik. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Keflavik and Tindastoll. Loser Grindavik keeps the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Skallagrimur and Thor Thorl. Njardvik will meet at home Stjarnan (#5) in the next round. Grindavik will play against KR in Reykjavik and hope to secure a win.
