Regular Season Round 8: Buducnost - Partizan NIS 75-71

Rather predictable result in Podgorica where third ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (6-2) defeated 5th ranked Serbian Partizan (4-4) 75-71. Buducnost made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville, agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 20 points and 6 rebounds and Bosnian point guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 10 points and 6 assists. Buducnost's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by Canadian power forward Stefan Jankovic (211-93, college: Hawaii) did not help to save the game for Partizan. Center Djordje Gagic (210-90, agency: BeoBasket) added 10 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Buducnost have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Mega Bemax. Partizan at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Cedevita and FMP. Buducnost will play against KK Zadar (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Partizan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd Crvena Zvezda.
