Very expected game when 13th ranked Salt (1-8) lost at home to seventh ranked Esparreguera (5-4) 76-61 on Sunday. It was a good game for forward Dani Fontanals (197-93) who led his team to a victory with 17 points. Forward Ruben Morales (193-85) contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Albert Pujolras (194-88) answered with 8 points and 17 rebounds and swingman Marc Juanola (192-92) added 16 points in the effort for Salt. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Esparreguera. They moved-up to sixth place in Group C-A, which they share with Olivar. Salt lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Esparreguera will face league's second-placed Igualada at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Salt will play against Cornella (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
