Very expected game when 11th ranked Rosalia (1-5) was smashed on the road by fourth ranked Leon (5-1) 96-47 on Sunday. Leon dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Rosalia's 28. Leon forced 21 Rosalia turnovers and outrebounded them 49-16 including a 39-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Rosalia's players. It was a good game for American power forward Darreon Tolliver (201-92, college: York, NE) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Enrique Florez (177-96) contributed with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Leon players scored in double figures. Swingman Nilo Barreiro (192-95) answered with 16 points and Alejandro Carrera added 14 points in the effort for Rosalia. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Leon.
